I’m looking so much forward to the weekend. Although I still don’t have a day to myself, I won’t have to get up at stupid o’clock for two days. Tomorrow I work both jobs, Saturday I have practice and then work at the bar, and Sunday we’re doing a Chicks Ahoy! photo shoot. But it’s all good. I’ll have a little time, I’ll find it somewhere in there.

Something quite nice happened to me today. I was on my way home from work, and I went into Downsview Station to get on the subway. I went to put my token in the thing and this man who was leaving smiled at me, swiped his metropass so I could go through for free, smiled at me and walked away. It was lovely. Very nice of him.

In other news, I’m extremely annoyed about this. If Quebec doesn’t want to be part of Canada, then the separatists can have it, but why do my taxes still have to pay for them? Sorry Caro! One of the liberal MPs (of course I can’t remember who) said it best yesterday. He said something along the lines of if Quebec gets recognition as a separate nation within Canada, does that mean we also must have a Ukrainian nation, a Chinese nation, a billion different nations within this so called United Canada?

Oh, and isn’t it a great thing that there aren’t any hungry people in the United States anymore?

Guess the Dutch are going to have to figure out another way to get into the Guinness Book of World Records.

This is hilarious. Who knew panda bears were porn freaks?

But this is one of the saddest things I have ever heard and genuinely upsets me. I read it in the paper on the way to work and it made me very sad.

I love the Arctic Monkeys album. I’ve been listening to it all day. Fake Tales of San Francisco is a great song.
