The Smoke City Betties organized the first D-Dday this Saturday. It was awesome. All the Toronto Roller Derby teams were there, as well as the two Montreal teams, the two Hamilton teams and some other out-of-towners. It was amazing. Of course I didn’t get to skate in it, but my team beat the Bay Street Bruisers so that’s wicked. I had to leave to go to my moms birthday party but I had a great time while I was there.

I had a really good time at my moms party too, surprisingly enough. I normally am not a fan of family gatherings but it was my moms 50th so I went and actually had a really good time. My aunts were all hammered and it was quite funny. I stayed over and spent the next day with my mom whch was nice, then hung out with my brother for a while until he drove me home. It was good. I’m glad I’m getting along with my mom again. She’s fun.

I’m taking her to see Spam-a-lot as her present, I can’t wait to see it.
