Leaving Tomorrow

Well, it’s been quite an eventful couple of weeks since I last posted. School was super busy at the end of the semester but I think I pulled through it all quite nicely. I don’t know what I got on my final Intro assignment but I did get 90% of my copy editing exam, so I feel pretty good about that.

The day I was waiting for finally came. I went to the first ever home game of the Toronto FC, and it was incredible. We didn’t win, those sneaky Kansas City Wizards snuck one past Greg Sutton, but the crowd was amazing and we had a blast. I can’t wait to go to a lot more games this sumer. I love football. I’m so happy to finally have a home team to support, even if they haven’t scored a goal yet. They will. They’re a new team and they have been playing stronger every game. The thing that really made Saturday’s game was the crowd. I was kind of expecting your typical quiet North American crowd, but the place was full of Brits and Italians, making it insanely rowdy and loud. It was fantastic! I especially enjoyed it when the supporters threw beer on the Kansas boys after they scored their goal, heh, heh, heh.

In other exciting news, I’m leaving for Germany tomorrow. I think I’m ready to go. I’m sure I’ll remember whatever I forgot when I need it most. I got screwed on the exchange rate yesterday, it’s much better today, but it’s ok. That sort of thing always happens to me. I’m just happy I’m finally going, and I’m that much closer to getting back to Ireland.

Real news:

Today marks the 300th anniversary of the Act of the Union, or the merger of the kingdoms of England and Scotland. How much do you know about it?

I hope this guy isn’t flying the plane I’m getting on tomorrow!
This is just weird. Someone’s dumping dead goats in Wisconsin.

That’s gonna be it from me for a while. I might get online for a little from Germany but I doubt it. See you all in a couple of weeks!
