Wow! Yesterday was mostly pretty awesome. I had brunch with the moped club, and in a total surprise my mother showed up and I got her on a moped! I have to admit I never thought that would happen. After that we went to see the movie Kinky Boots. It’s a really cute, sweet story about a man who inherits his fathers shoe factory but no contracts to keep it going. He meets a drag queen in London and starts making shoes for drag queens to keep everyone employed. It might be mildy predictable at times but it’s well worth seeing. The music choices are fantastic and the acting is really good. It’s also very well shot.

I had to go to work after all that and since it was the long weeked the bar was slammed. A friend came by to drown her sorrows after a nasty bout with karma so needless to say, we were there for quite a long time after the bar closed…………I took the longest taxi ride of my life home at 9:30 this morning. I hate leaving the bar in broad daylight, it’s like the walk of shame. It was so bright out when I left and there were children walking around. Always makes you feel like quite the scumbag. Anyway, I slept for a few hours, went for a greasy diner breakfast with my roommate at about 5 o’clock and then sat in front of the television for the rest of the night doing nothing. I think today wins the “least productive day of the year” award, but at least the hangover is finally over.
